But I've wanted to start a blog for awhile, one that I can use on my phone and (hopefully!!) keep up with regularly. I want a way to document all our crazy goings-on, because as our wedding day fast approaches, we are sure to have some big changes soon :) I didn't really want to post all our business on Facebook (although I plan to link to it anyway, it just seems better to put it in a blog instead of in 3852 status updates.)
Ahhh, just over 12 days until I will officially be Mrs. Wood, and I just can't wait for that day to get here! Not only am I ready for the planning, guest list drama, and crazy money spending chaos to be over, but I'm just ready to be married to my best friend and soul mate!
A few things I learned during the wedding planning process:
1. Just because you have been dating for 2 amazinglywonderfulwemightgetmarried weeks, does NOT mean your flavor of the month automatically gets invited!
2. Don't count on vendors to necessarily give you who you hired! We've had 3 changes in personnel (but not all bad- just unexpected)!
3. Just because you get "penciled in" doesn't mean anything!
4. Don't wear ballet flats with no socks for the whole day you are scheduled to try on wedding dresses... That dressing room is tiny for sweaty feet!
5. Target may "accidentally" add a baby item to your wedding registry.
6. Publix doesn't care if you change your cake design 72 times.
7. Not everyone will RSVP, and some of the people who do actually send back their response card will ADD people who weren't on the original guest list.
8. It's better to have too much on the registries.
9. Not everyone likes traditions and surprises.
10. Wedding cake tastings can count as breakfast.

I can't wait to see all our friends and family who will be coming into town! I haven't seen my big brother in over a year so it'll be good to FINALLY get to spend some time with him. His wife and babies have already been here for a few weeks (but I can never have too much of my nieces and nephew!!!!).
We have all our last-minute craziness coming up in the next two weeks, but then it'll be off to Vegas for a relaxing adventure :) the agenda for just the next 3 days include: doctors appointment for Will's neck, making my garter and veil, meeting with our DJ, a hair appointment in Georgia, finishing up some wedding related shopping with mom, and in the middle of all that, still finding time to finish programs, figure out the seating chart and table cards, and mentor some summer school students... Whew, let the fun begin!!
